Why 100 KB

100 KB is the strictest common ceiling

A 100 KB ceiling usually appears on single-document attachment fields — one certificate, one ID page, one signed form. It is the hardest target: a multi-page scan generally cannot make it while staying readable.

This page is pre-set to search for the best quality that lands under 100 KB. If your document genuinely can't get there readably, we show you the smallest readable version instead — and 200 KB is one click away.

Target, hit preciselyThe output lands under the ceiling with a safety margin — not "roughly smaller"
Readable, alwaysPages stay sharp and readable; if the target would wreck quality, we say so instead
Honest failuresIf 100 KB isn't reachable at readable quality, you get the best readable size and the choice

How it works

Three steps, zero uploads

1

Pick your PDF

Drop it on the sheet or browse. It's read directly by your browser — the meter above stays at 0 B.

2

We search for the target

The tool detects what kind of document it is, then re-encodes pages just enough to land under 100 KB — keeping them sharp.

3

Download — or hear the truth

You get the compressed file instantly. If 100 KB isn't reachable without wrecking quality, we say so instead of shipping garbage.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers

What if my PDF can't reach 100 KB?

Some documents can't get there without becoming unreadable. When that happens we stop at the best readable size, show it to you, and let you decide — we never silently ship a wrecked file.

How can it be free with no upload?

Because your device does the work, serving you costs us almost nothing. We make the free Fast PDF Reader Android app — if these tools are useful, some people install it. That's the whole model.

Is my file really never uploaded?

Yes. The compressor is code running in your browser tab. Your document's bytes never leave the device — disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool still works.

Will the text still be selectable?

No — to hit hard size targets reliably, pages are rebuilt as high-quality images, so text stays sharp and readable but is no longer selectable. If you need selectable text, keep the original alongside the compressed copy.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes — this page is built for phones first. Very large files depend on your device's memory; if a file is too big for your device, we tell you instead of failing silently.
